The late Ron Hardy began spinning in Chicago’s Muzic Box club back in 1983, cutting up and re-editing old disco tracks. The only technology used were a pair of decks and his now legendary reel-to-reel mix tapes. Some of these mixes and edits have been taken directly from those tapes and reproduced in their completely original form, exactly as they would have sounded within the walls of the Muzic Box. Included here are Blue Magic’s ''Welcome to the Club'' and Nightlife Unlimited’s ''Peaches & Prunes''. Pre-Chicago house rawness, and these won’t be around forever...
